Sven had the privilege of teaching in Santiago de Veraguas, Panama. There he taught in Spanish and focused on Technique, Music Notation, Transcription, and specifically American Marching percussion styles. The name “Sven” looks and sounds very similar to the number “Seven” so most of the students and faculty called him “Profesor Siete” which translates to “Professor Seven.” Music is the true international language and can be used to bridge most any gap between people and cultures.
